It's All in the Name

Greetings,
Since this is my debut blog, I thought I'd take a minute to explain the name Writing on Faith. At first glance it seems pretty straightforward, but it has two meanings.

First, I will be writing about my faith in God, and hopefully will encourage you in yours. Each time I blog I will give you a Bible verse for the day, and since I love the Psalms, I've begun there.

Second, I will sometimes be writing about writing since that's what I do. And I do it on faith alone, not because I want to be published (even though that would be lovely). I write because I feel God's call to do so. I'm currently working on a comtemporary Christian women's fiction novel with a strong romantic plot element entitled To Love and Forgive. Though I have written one previous novel, it has not been published, and is currently sitting on the proverbial back shelf.

I'd like to go on, but it's almost time for dinner and I don't have a clue what I'm making. Maybe we'll just order a pizza.
